Nutrition

Food & nutrition is a fundamental aspect of quality provision in the Holy Family Parish Community Creche. We ensure that the children has healthy snacks while at the creche. We encourage a positive dining experience and positive experience for children and adults to interact and enjoy meals.

We have a Healthy eating policy in the HFPCC & Claddagh's Treasures.

We ensure that the Early Year specialists sit with children at meal times and act as a positive role model for healthy food and drink choices.

We can tailor any dietary requirements of children from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. We encourage children to try different / new foods, ensuring that meals are presented attractively and that the food textures are varied.

We also respect the child's appetite if they are not hungry we do not force the children to eat.

We encourage independence while dining.

At the Holy Family Parish Community Creche we have in house cooks who are HACCP trained, they provide breakfast and a hot meal for lunch and afternoon tea. We also provide a tray of fresh fruit to each room on a daily basis. We have a week menu on display for parents to view.

All our staff team have been trained in HACCP.
